The finals of the 2024/25 PDC World Championship are fast approaching as darts’ top stars look to win at Alexandra Palace.
The event is not only the biggest darts competition, but is fast becoming one of the most popular in the UK sporting calendar.
Of course, the event culminates with a stunning finale.
We saw last year’s matches Luke Humphries beating Luke Littler 7-4 for the first world championship in London.
“Cool Hand Luke” was eliminated in the fourth round of this year’s event, leaving “The Nuke” as the overwhelming favorite to lift the Sid Waddell trophy.

Defending champion Humphreys crashed out in the fourth round after losing 4-1 to Peter Wright at Alexandra Palace.
After this defeat, he said: I probably put a lot of pressure on myself tonight, but I thought I played well.
Peter played brilliantly and backed up what he said before the game, so fair play to him.
“I wasn’t at my best but I wasn’t terrible by any means and I’ll be back. I’ll sleep well tonight and look forward to next year.”
I am still number one in the world and this result will not deter me from continuing to win.
I know that if I’m going to play this sport for another 20 years, I’m not going to win it every time, and if someone does that against you, you have to accept that the player is better. won
“I’ve got a long season ahead of me. We’ve got another 12 months to get back here and do it all again, but I want to win more in the meantime.”
I’m not looking to win the world title next year yet, but when we come back here next year, I’d definitely like to get my title back.
I don’t see my career ending as a one-time world champion. I feel like I will win more.
