Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz (Liverpool): Another game, another goal, another assist. They both look like football because it’s so easy for them.
They really enjoyed themselves, Liverpool enjoyed themselves. We are in the midst of seeing something special with this team at 45 points with a game in hand to start the year. They can break 100, very quickly and run away with the title.
Liam Delap (Ipswich): I believe this is the first time for Team of the Week. I played Alexander Isak again or even the big Chris Wood, but after watching the Ipswich game against Chelsea – and expecting Chelsea to do a number on Ipswich – if I’m completely honest.
He’s very good, that’s the type of Delap I want to see. He uses his physical attributes, he is still raw, it is ok because he is still young. He’s cute in link-up play but when his team really needs him, he makes the tough yards on defense. When his team moved the ball to him, he kept it and guarded it.
He made Chelsea’s defenders, who weren’t very good, look average and that’s what can happen. If Ipswich are to have any chance of staying up, that’s all there is to it. It’s about how ugly and aggressive he is. He got a good goal and good help.
