This is my last year with Liverpool All Football

The Egyptian star has made waves ahead of Manchester United’s visit, suggesting he is preparing for an Anfield exit.

Liverpool Mohamed Salah has issued the clearest sign yet that he is preparing for life away from Anfield at the end of the 2024/25 season, admitting that he in his “last year” with the club.

The Egyptian has been inspired by this campaign, leading Arne Slot’s side to the top of the Premier League and Champions League. A historic season is coming to Liverpool but Salah’s deal – along with teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold a Virgil van Dijk – have had access to the last six months.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Salah revealed his ambitions for the season: “In my interviews over the last seven or eight years, I always say (I want to win) the Champions League. But this is the first time I have said that I really want to win the Premier League with Liverpool.

He continued: “I have no idea. Probably because we didn’t celebrate the one we won in the way we wanted and also, coming back here too, this is my last year at the club so you want to do something special for the city.”

The prospect of losing Salah on a free transfer will give Liverpool fans sleepless nights but there is still hope he will re-sign. Many have suggested that Salah’s public statements – which have become increasingly forceful – are just part of the negotiations between him and the club. However, with the visit of rivals Manchester United on Sunday, Liverpool fans will be vocal in their support for the star.
