Wolves forward Mateusz Kona has been banned for two matches and fined £80,000 after being charged with misconduct.
Kona was punished by the FA conflict With an Ipswich staff member in early December.
That is, Kona, who was recently replaced due to injury 2-2 draw against Tottenhamwill miss the Premier League game at home to Nottingham Forest on January 6 and the FA Cup third round tie against Bristol City.
The 25-year-old will next be available when Vitor Pereira’s side travel to Newcastle in the Premier League on January 15.
In the incident against Ipswich, Canha appeared to elbow a member of the opposing team’s staff before forcibly removing his glasses as teammates and coaches tried to pull him away.
His behavior after the game was caught on camera and circulated on social media, and the Football Association then accused him of misconduct.
An FA statement said: “The striker was charged with misconduct and it was alleged that he acted improperly after the final whistle. He accepted the charge and sanctions were subsequently imposed by the Independent Regulatory Commission. “

Kona’s absence is a blow for relegation-threatened Wolves and the Brazilian is a bright light in what has been a difficult season so far.
The 25-year-old has 10 goals and four assists in 19 Premier League games this season, including two since the incident against Ipswich.
Wolves have lost 11 of their 19 league games this season but have improved under new manager Pereira with wins over Manchester United and Leicester, followed by a draw against Spurs.
Kona joined Wolves on an initial loan from Atletico Madrid in January 2023 and made the move permanent the following summer.
The striker’s recent form has seen him heavily linked with a move away from Molineux – with Arsenal among the clubs interested in his services.
