Stoke City sack Narcis Pelach after three months in custody

By Ged Scott, BBC Midlands Sport

Narcis Pelach later made an appearance in the Stoke City pressroom late in the day’s boxing match – albeit an impressive one.

After the British captain Daniel Farke stayed at Leeds, who has talked a lot about his side’s consolation victory for some time now, he hoped that his next game, in the top league, would have German values, education in general and how little action he would have. After the January transfer window, Pelach entered from there.

Catalan politely went around the room, shaking hands with all the members of the press present and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

As it happened, these hands would prove fatally shot.

When Pelach finally settled down, he had to defend the constant changes of the battle, while at the same time he was determined to sign more players in the January window.

But just a quick chat with Potter reader Mike Pejic, BBC Radio Stoke’s late night match, can get another slant on this latest Potter crisis.

Maybe judging what the pain is after as the leaders of the new league were conquered it is a little unfair.

But perhaps the last thing Stoke need now is yet another major influx of players, brought in by a yet-to-be-changed manager and now pushed north by Watford.

As Pejic said, he already has good players. Maybe he just needed to act in the right places.
