Jamie Redknapp believes “any manager in any league in England” can win back-to-back matches with Ruben Amorim’s current Man Utd side.
The Red Devils beat Sunderland before the international break as Amorem got a much-needed victory Man utd In the 11th Premier League Table Heading into their clash against arch-rivals Liverpool on Sunday.
Amorim are yet to win back-to-back Premier League matches with the Red Devils boss picking up just 37 points from 34 matches a year ago.
This led to rumors that Amorim could be sacked if these poor results persist. Sir Jim Ratcliffe hinted that the Portuguese coach could stay at Manchester United for up to three years Because it gives him an opportunity to promote himself.
Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher, who were Sky Sports The studio, with Redknapp on Sunday, cannot see Amorim continuing at Old Trafford for three years.
When Ratcliffe’s comments came to him, Keane said: “Listen, I think it’s probably good to have the backing of the club and the board, but the results obviously have to improve. You hope that, of course, with any manager given time. Whether he plays with him for three years will depend on how he does in the next few months.

“They’ve picked up a bit, we said at the start of the season, with a couple of attacking players they look more and more of a threat, and especially at home, they’ve improved their home record, and on the back of a good result at home to Sunderland, I fully expect them to win.
“But big Tests are still games like today (against Liverpool). What kind of group do they have? Are they going to turn up here today and try to push their quality forward? Are they going to grind it out? Are they going to be physical? Are they going to deal with it? So there are still big question marks from home.
“There are still a lot of question marks about this United group. I don’t see it at the moment as time goes on, but there are signs of it going forward, but you still have concerns in midfield in terms of physicality, and you still have concerns about them defensively. And yet, the question marks over the goalkeeper situation still.”
Carragher added: “I really want to get into these comments, because I understand what the owner is trying to do. He’s trying to stop talk of the manager losing his job.
“So he goes out to defend his man. He talks about, you know, he’s got three years. But he doesn’t help it by saying that, because nobody believes him. Nobody believes for a minute that Ruben Amorim will be manager of Manchester United in three years.
“If he just said, ‘We have no plans to change our coach in the next 12 months.’ I think ‘OK, maybe they can get someone in January. It would almost feel like a vote of confidence in, you know, ending the talk of the manager losing his job.
“But to come out and say three years, we all know, as Roy has said, if the results continue, he loses his job, unfortunately. So even though he’s trying to help him, I don’t think it helped him in the end with those comments.”

Redknapp came down hard on Amorim for failing to win back-to-back matches at Man Utd, saying: “When you don’t win back-to-back games in the Premier League as a Man United manager, you’re under a lot of pressure. I think you can get any manager in any league in England and I like this guy to win, and pick the team with him.
“And it can’t be that hard, but he’s looking like every single week, as Roy says, some weeks you look at him and say: ‘Yeah, there’s highlights, they’ve got a chance. They’ve got some good players, good performances.’ Then it will just forget the madness and the same alternative, it will not change whatever it says.
“But you can’t win back-to-back games as Manchester United manager and then say he’s still there for three years. It doesn’t make sense.
“It’s not the real world. And also, if he’s still there after a year, and it’s not changing, the fans will order it. They’re not going to hurt him because they want to see change. They don’t like the situation at the club.”
