Last year we saw the emergence of a sense of youth Luke Littlerwith this 16-year-old youth who at that time made his first appearance in the finals.

Littler stunned everyone, but couldn’t quite get over the line Luke Humphries It proved too good for the Warrington-born player.

However, he is back and will be determined to go one step further while Humphries was unable to defend his title and was knocked out in the fourth round.

A number of other top seeds also crashed out early, including Michael Smith, Rob Cross and Dave Chisnall, so the race is wide open.

Michael van Gerwen, Chris Dubey and Stephen Bunting have made it to the semi-finals, with Littler the last to seal his spot.

PDC World Darts Championship 2024/25: Tournament format

particle for direct object Draw for this event It was made at 13:00 on Monday, November 25.

A total of 96 players started the tournament this year.

Prize pot £2.5m is up for grabs and the winner will take home £500,000.

Out of 96 players, the top 32 in the world automatically qualified for the second round.

Another 32 were made up of the PDC Tour’s Badge of Merit and the rest are eligible.

Barry Hearn suggests darts star Luke Littler will become a millionaire in a remarkable new deadline.

Each match in the first round saw a qualifier where one player earned a PDC badge of merit.

The prize money earned during the season is what determines a player’s rank.

All matches are singles, double outs – players must score 501 points to win a game and finish with a double or bullseye.

For all rounds except the first round, the deciding set must be won in two straight games, unless the set score is tied at 5-5, in which case a sudden death match is played. There will be no throwing for the cow at the feet of sudden death.

As the tournament progresses, the matches get longer and the first and second rounds are best-of-five and carry on. to the final That would be the best 13.
