Trump had no spirit to discuss his withdrawal from the tournament, and subsequently ignored the Snooker’s global request to attend a press conference.

This was not the first time he rejected media duties after refusing to speak out of the first round shock at the World Championships at The Crucible seven months ago.

Trump’s disappointments stemmed from instability in the race with fractures of 59, 64 and 74.

But for Carnington, it was a moment to celebrate Trump with our first professional victory over Trump.

Unfortunately, this was short because he was out of the second round by Ross Mir Scotland.

Trump was not the only victim of the early shock exit thanks to Chen Zifan’s victory over Schen Murphy.

The tournament met with Mark Williams in the final with Yan Bingao China, and Wales finished 9-8 to win the £ 70,000 award.
