Michael Antonio has been released from hospital after a horrific accident that left him with a broken leg.
The 34-year-old was driving his £260,000 Ferrari It deviated from the road in Essex on 7 December.
The severity of the crash saw the Hammers star taken to the passenger seat before he was trapped inside the car for more than 45 minutes as emergency services worked to free him.
Antonio subsequently underwent surgery and West Ham later reassured concerned fans that the player was in a stable condition after distressing images of the car went viral.
His injury is expected to keep him out for at least a year – with Antonio out of contract this summer.
This has led the club to consider the possibility of extending his contract to cover the recovery period, and negotiations are expected to be held soon.
Antonio joined West Ham Nottingham Forest In 2015, with 83 goals, he became the club’s top scorer in the history of the Premier League.
Two days after the accident, Antonio’s team-mates paid tribute to him in T-shirts bearing his name before their crucial league game with Wolves.
The jerseys and jerseys were later auctioned off for £60,000 for NHS and Air Ambulance UK charities.

However, the manager of West Ham Julen Lopetegui He expressed confidence that Antonio will return to football.
