Ruben Dias’ latest social media post has his followers suggesting the Manchester City defender is ‘hard-launching’ a relationship with Maya Jama.
Diaz had sparked romance rumors with Jama after the Manchester City star was pictured celebrating New Year’s Eve with the Love Island presenter in Ibiza.
The pair had previously sparked rumors of a possible romance back in November after they began following each other on Instagram, as spotted by Game Set & Match.
MailOnline has contacted representatives for Maya Jama and Ruben Dias for comment.
Dias has previously had high-profile relationships, with the star having dated Portuguese pop star April Ivy and Love Island star Arabella Chi.
However, a recent Instagram post from Dias’ New Year celebrations has seen his followers continue to suggest that the pair might be in a relationship.

A photo circulating on social media showed Jama and Dias dining at Sa Capella with one of the star’s friends as they prepared to ring in 2025
Dias posted a picture that showed people watching the sunset as fans suggested it was him and Jama
The compilation of 11 pictures included a snap of two people gazing at a sunset with their backs to the camera and their faces obscured, although they both appear to be a man and a woman.
One fan wrote ‘Maya Jama hard launch,’ while others posted gifs and images of Jama beneath Dias’ post.
Another appeared to be a fan of a potential relationship between the two, adding: ‘I ship Ruben and Maya so bad (sic)’.
One follower appeared to poke the fan at the fact that Dias is currently out injured with a calf problem, writing: ‘You can pull Maya Jama but you can’t pull yourself back on the pitch??’
The 27-year-old, who joined Man City in 2020, had been in a relationship with Ivy between 2018 and 2021.
Dias and Ivy, real name Mariana Gonçalves, started dating at the end of 2018 and went public on New Year’s Day in 2019.
The couple had lived together in Manchester after Dias joined the Premier League giants in a £61 million move from Benfica.
Dias, who has won Premier League titles and the Champions League with Man City, reportedly split with Ivy over ‘lifestyle differences’.
Portuguese magazine Flash! reported after the split that Dias’ had desired a ‘more discreet’ life clashed with his former love’s ‘exuberance’.
A source told the publication: ‘The now ex-couple already shared a house in Manchester, where the singer had moved in order to be close to Ruben and at the same time bet on her musical career in London.
‘The lifestyles, more discreet on the part of the footballer contrasting with the more exuberant side of the artist, ended up becoming irreconcilable…’
The split had reportedly happened after the pair’s summer holiday in Greece in July of 2021.
