Marcus Rashford scored his second Champions League brace for Barcelona to help Hansi Flick’s side beat thrashing Olympiakos 6-1 on Tuesday evening.
Barcelona Freeman weren’t at their best at half-time thanks to a brace from Lopez but still led 2-0.
Ayoub Al Kabi halved the deficit from the penalty spot in strange circumstances. He headed home in open play, but the ball hit Eric Garcia’s arm, leaving Al Kaabi in an offside position to Daniel Pudenis – who assisted the header.
The game then shifted completely in favor of Barcelona.
Santiago Heyes was sent off for a much-debated second yellow card just four minutes after El Kaabi’s goal, and Olympiakos collapsed.
Within 11 minutes of Hayes’ dismissal, Lamin Yamal converted the penalty – winning it Rashford -A four-goal flurry in 11 minutes to restore Barca’s two-goal lead.
Firmin completed his hat-trick with a superb volley sandwiched between two superb Rashford finishes.

Rashford couldn’t complete his treble, but it was another very positive night for him in a Barcelona shirt.
Manchester United Looney has come alive in the Champions League this season, Scoring a brace against Newcastle United on Matchday One And providing support against Paris Saint-Germain on matchday two.
This means Rashford now has the most goal involvement in the competition in 2025/26. Only Julian Alvarez (10) and Kylian Mbappe (17) have more contributions in all La Liga competitions this term.
He has also been on the scoresheet in eight of the last nine for the Bulgarana.
Rashford is a player who thrives in a system that makes him a perfect fit.
He led the line against Olympiakos but has featured mostly on the left, and proving himself in both positions is a huge boost for both him and Falk.
His recovery isn’t just good news for Barca, Flick and the player himself – it’s also a positive for Manchester United and England.
While Rashford is showing he is a player United could still use, that chapter looks closed. If he somehow stops scoring now, Barca probably won’t trigger the $26 million buyout option. But if he keeps it going, they’ll activate it when it becomes available.
Finishing it off with such confidence can only bring a smile to United fans’ faces. They will surely be happy for it.
Both of his goals against Olympiakos were fired at the front post, with Konstantinos Zoulakis rooting for his line – serious, clinical and vintage Rashford.
Adam Kania of TNT Sports said his second, from outside the box, was “a finish of the highest quality”. It certainly was.
