Nottingham Forest are reportedly ‘closing in’ on former Everton boss Sean Dyche, who is ready to ‘accept’ an offer to replace Ange Postecoglou.

It has since followed Forest’s decision to part ways with former Spurs and Celtic head coach Posikoglou, who have failed to win any of their eight games in all competitions.
The final straw came in Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Chelsea, after controversial owner Evangelos Marinacs reportedly walked off the ground during the match and Postecoglou was dismissed minutes after the final whistle.

On Sunday evening, a report AthleticDavid Ornstein revealed that Deutsche Post has emerged as a ‘leading contender’ to replace Coglow.
His report claimed:
‘The Athletic reported on Saturday that Forest have spoken to Dyche and former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, who now appear unlikely to return to English football. Marco Silva is not expected to leave Fulham.
‘EDU global head of football and global technical director George Sirianos has led a wild search for a replacement for the bored Ange post Koglo and has had positive meetings with Dyche.’
Now, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Premier League club are ‘closing in’ on Dyche. On Monday morning, he said on X: ‘Nottingham Forest are closing in on the appointment of Sean Dyche as the new head coach.
‘Following the collapse of Roberto Mancini’s talks, as revealed yesterday, the deal has been finalized with the Dutch ready to accept.’

Meanwhile, Sky Sports have claimed the Dutchman has a ‘verbal agreement’ after ‘negotiations progressed late on Sunday night’.
It has also been noted that ‘both parties are keen to resolve the deal quickly’ so the Dutch have plenty of time to prepare for Thursday’s Europa League clash against Porto.
The report claims there are ‘still some final legal details to be sorted out’, although ‘this could be confirmed later on Monday’.
On Sunday, a report by journalist Ben Jacobs Givemesport Nutm revealed six reasons behind Forest’s decision to appoint Dyche, who is ‘considered a good fit’ due to his ‘strong Premier League experience and his style’.
Also, the ‘expensive’ £10m fee demanded for the ‘lauded’ Silva was a stumbling block, while Jacobs has revealed why Steve Cooper, Mauricio Pochettino and Brendan Rodgers are not going for the job.
He explained:
‘Forest have also discussed internally bringing back Steve Cooper and hiring Mauricio Pochettino, but to date no approach has been made. That’s because Cooper had just started a new job with Brondby and Pochettino is not expected to leave his role as US men’s national team coach before the World Cup.
