Lynskey has signed a professional contract

Aston Villa are delighted to announce that Alfie Lynskey has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 17-year-old midfielder has come up through Villa’s ranks and academy manager Mark Harrison is delighted to see him put pen to paper on a professional contract.

“We are delighted that Alfie has signed his first professional contract, having been at the Academy for many years, he has signed from local football,” he said.

“Alfie is a technically very effective midfielder who can manage the ball effectively and can create chances with his skillful play.

“He’s a player we think has a lot of potential and we’re looking forward to seeing how he develops over the coming years.”
