Fast bowler of Indian cricket team Jasprit Bumrah was left rattled as the no-ball provided Australia with a major lifeline on Day 4 of the fourth Test match in Melbourne on Sunday. The incident happened at the end of the day when Bumrah was dismissed Nathan Lyon but he was left disappointed when the referee signaled that the ball had not been received. With India needing one wicket to overtake Australia, Lyon edged a delivery from Bumrah straight to KL Rahul in tickets. But the joy was short-lived as the ball denied him five wickets and his disappointed reaction spoke volumes.

India seamer Jasprit Bumrah unleashed more destructive bowling but Australia fought back stubbornly to reach 228-9 on Sunday, taking a 333-run lead in the absorbing fourth Test.

Bumrah tore through the middle order on day four in Melbourne, taking figures of 4-56 from 24 overs to give India an outside chance of victory in a match largely dominated by the home side.

But India’s hopes were dashed by a stubborn, unbeaten 55 from 17.5 overs.

Nathan Lyon was at the crease on 41 while the no.11 Scott Boland he hit 65 balls to keep 10 not out at the end.

Up by 105 runs in the first innings, Australia were rocked by the loss of four wickets for 11 midway through the second innings to slump to 91-6.

Marnus Labuschagne a Pat Cummins he responded with a vital partnership of 57, getting rid of Bumrah’s attack.

The charming Labuschagne scored 70 to back up his first innings 72, while Cummins produced a 41-run captain’s knock to give him a total of 90 Test runs.

Both teams are chasing a 2-1 win in the series heading into the fifth and final Test in Sydney.
