Liverpool icon Jon Arne Riese has shown off his stunning new physique after taking part in a Norwegian TV show.
rice She was one of six contestants on a series called “16 Weeks of Hell,” a series in which celebrities are pushed to their physical breaking point and put on a strict diet to change their lives.
Before the series, Riise talked about why she wanted to be on the show.
“I want to be a car again,” Riise said. In Norwegian Dagbladet.
It’s been a while since I’ve been out of football, so it’ll be exciting to see how much of a machine I can become.
“I want to get back into my routine with exercise and diet, push my limits, eat right and feel good when I look in the mirror.”
And after 16 weeks of physical punishment and a complete diet change, Riise looks unrecognizable.
Riise, who played more than 340 games for Liverpool During his seven seasons at the club, he shared a before and after picture on Instagram to show off his new look.
The 44-year-old wrote: “Before and after. Hard work and dedication with the diet changed everything for me. Let’s go 2025.”

in one Interview with Norwegian channel TV 2Reese went into detail about her problematic diet before the show.
Riise drinks three or four cans of energy drinks a day and eats chocolate and chips at night.
“It’s a scandal that I let it go this far,” Riise said.
Now, she has swapped chocolate and chips for dates and grapes.
“I didn’t eat any candy for those 16 weeks,” Riise said.
Riise also cut out alcohol entirely.
In terms of physical training, Riise completed 162 sessions in 112 days.
Riise also shared one of his biggest motivations for taking part in the show when he looked at photos of himself coaching Norwegian club Avaldsnes.
He came out of retirement for the second time and joined the club as a player at the age of 42 in June 2023 and even scored in the first game.
But he eventually hung up his boots for the third and final time and turned to coaching.
It was during this spell that Riise lost control of her physical lifestyle, not that she knew it at the time.
“I didn’t think it was that bad,” Riise said.
“But then I see the before and after pictures and think, ‘What the hell?’ what happened Why did it go this far?”
In an interview with TV 2, Riese confirmed that he would like to return to coaching.
It will take something special for Riese’s coaching career to match what he achieved as a player.
Riise made over 700 appearances worldwide as a player, featuring in France, England, Italy, Norway and even India.
But it was his time at Anfield that he is undoubtedly best known for.
Riise gained a reputation as an energetic left-back with a thunderous left boot who scored from distance.
He also helped Liverpool win their first Champions League title in 21 years as they beat AC Milan in 2005.
