Rona Molony has officially decided to retire in the race race and said: “It has been an honor and a privilege for our family to run Thurles Rececours, and I officially announce my retirement today.
“We are very proud of the huge share of our family in the race, and thank you for all your support for your support for Rececourse, our dedicated staff, generous sponsors, loyal supporters and the wider race community.
“Horse riding is part of our family’s fabric, and we have been very lucky that we have made great friends in the industry over the years.
“Me and my family are looking forward to competing with you as spectators.”
“Since my beloved husband, Pierce died in 2015, with the help of our four daughters Patricia, Helen, Anne Marie and Kate and our wonderful staff, we managed to keep the show on the road and I know that she is proud of us,” Riona added.
“Girls have all the family, their jobs and lives to live.
“Increasing industry demands and the cost of doing business has also been the main factor.
“We want to enjoy this time and now decide to decide and the news is published before we consider our options.”
Thurles is fully licensed by the end of the calendar year, including 11 games on the 2025/26 jump calendar.
On the Thurles Racecourse website shows that there are none of the next tools.
