Rush was invited to the service last week after Jota’s sad death.
The 28 -year -old died of a car accident in Spain with his brother Andre Silva.
Since then, a funeral has been held in its native Portuguese, with members of the Liverpool team attending their respect.
Rush could not participate in it, but with sadness last week he lost his brother Gerald.
The club’s top scorer revealed the news in a Instagram post.
“In Liverpool, we always knew ourselves as a big family,” he wrote, sharing an image of Jota and Silva.
“Now one of our family has gone, so we all have to join and help each other. The past few days have shown this.
“I was invited and I was going to attend Diego’s funeral, but my brother Gerald died last week.
“I was in the middle of helping the funeral of Gerald, which became news about Diogo. It was very difficult, and I was not only able to make it.
“He’s not good for a while, but like Diogo, it’s not really drowned.”

“Diego’s wife, Biot, their three extraordinary children, her parents and the extensive family are enduring an unimaginable loss,” Rush continued.
“This daunting incident claimed both Diego and his brother Andre Silva. We are deeply sad for both of them.
“Diego was a great player, probably the best naturalist in the club. He always gave 100 %.
“He changes whether he started working as an alternative or came there,” he said.
“He was a real person for the pitch, a real peace. He just faced things. Unfortunately, he was lost for a particular person who did as much as he did on a football field for Liverpool and Portugal.
“This is especially difficult for Liverpool players who will soon return to pre -season training. They are only expected to continue with this, but at the end of the day they are only humans who experience the same emotions like the rest of us.
“Some players are more impressed than others. I think it has been difficult for everyone right now.
“That’s very strange, and there will be a delay for some because the greatness of what happened is not overwhelmed.
“I believe that when someone dies, you get things done and just a few weeks later is that it will attract your terrible losses. You know you have to continue with life, but it’s hard.
“Dioo will never be forgotten because he has accepted everything Liverpool. Our son from Portugal. Forever.”
During five years at Anfield, Juta scored 65 goals and scored 26 assists in 182 games.
During this time, he also won four important trophies, including the Premier League, last season.
