“A seismic legal confrontation between players and FIFA.”
The former Fulham Midfielder-turn-lawyer Udo Onwere is asked to assess the importance of claiming compensation that FIFA launches current and former professional players in transit rules.
On Monday, Dutch Foundation Justice for players (JFP) said it begins with a class action in France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark.
These 100,000 players played in Europe since 2002 lost our income as a result of “unlawful FIFA analysis in some billion pounds.
The case is the result of last year’s rule by the highest European court regulations of FIFA in some football transfers that separate the EU laws.
In October, the European Court of Justice (CJEU) found a favorable Chelsea and Arsenal Midfielder Lassana Lassana Lassana Diarra after his freedom of movement and violated the law of competition, and the FIFA has been violated.
“This class action can rewrite the rules that charge player activity around the world football”, now with law Broy and Krais.
“What makes this case from past skirmishes in the Governing Body is the more measure of it and the result of a new time to transfer Autonomion.
“It can be proved as a change as the sign of 1995 dominated by Bosman.”
Such a comparison is not important, because JFP is advised by the belgia’s lawyer Jean-Louis Dupont, who also won the Cjeu player Jean-Marc Bosman.
That rule suddenly changes the sport, mean players can pick up their contracts and moving clubs in a free transition, with teams that do not require paid games with no contracts.
Thirty years of age, some now believe that this most recent case may result in players who can end their own contracts, free of charge, before the end of deals.
BBC sport was told that FIFA has until the start of September to meet the threat of legal action.
