Euro 2025: Jess Fillock says Wales’ Think It ” After Losing The Netherlands

Wales Boss Boss Rhian Wilkinson says his side should learn lessons from their opening loss.

“I mean, like the first question we get in the draw is a group, right? And we have a tough group, no more that is,” he said.

“To convict a goal before half always hurts.

“We need to make more opportunities and we need to make sure those moments of lapses are smaller and fewer. But this is the stage of the world.

“This is the big event and, you know, it’s afraid. It’s the first game, but it’s the same as we want.”

Wilkinson is confident that his players develop against France in St Galllen on Wednesday night.

“Entering half of 0-0 go a long way. In the second half, that quick purpose is definitely hurt us,” he added.

“We have a big, great mountain before us this competition and we look forward to it. We want to play on the world stage and be courageous to do that.”

Wilkinson said he was “emotional,” who saw the steel fans, with nearly 4,000 make the lucerne travel and knowing it was a chance to show the country.

“We are now and for ever and ever have lost the women in a major tournament. These women turn it away. I’m not worried about it,” he added.

“Failed to lose 3-0, but it won’t hurt. It’s a new opportunity for us to go next to another big attempt.

“I don’t want to be disrespectful, but many people don’t know where the Wales are on a map. And that’s what we show people today.”
