BRANDEN AARONSON (LEEDS): I think that’s a big call to put him on. There was a little call for him to drop. He got the opening goal, missed a few chances in the weeks before, but it was a great performance. He went into the game and started the lead, ‘I’m going to be the difference maker now’. He showed why he should be in that leeds team.
Granit Xhaka (Sunderland): Loads of people will be looking at all the new signings, look at the young players that are at Sunderland. Xhaka is the totality of that pitch. He organizes, tackles, there are people who do his running for him. He reminds me of what Juan Terry was like at Chelsea towards the end of his career. He’s just one level with everyone else. The way he wrapped the tracks, he got everything right. For me, he can think.
Bryan Mbeumo (Manchester United): I wanted to put Matheus Cunha in but Mbeumo got the second goal. You can see that he has found his feet now, he is comfortable, the clothes are not a problem, playing for Manchester United is not a problem. He and Cunha are the reason they can fly in the league. They’re both talented, they’re both amazing. The two goals scored by Mbeumo were beautiful. If it got a little ropey at the end, that moment fell to him and I don’t think anyone thought he was going to lose. Big from him, big for Manchester united.
Wilson Isidor (Sunderland): The Premier League has really taken him more than I thought he would have wanted. I thought he would struggle if I am 100% honest. He did not put the world in the championship, he only got 12 goals, which the team thought was not good. He’s also a bit gangly, a bit rough, but he’s done well in the Premier League. Maybe the walk forced him to step up his game.
