Chelsea have reportedly been in contact with the Premier League star’s agent to gauge their interest in his signature, but that’s something they don’t really need.
The Blues are building well on their fourth-placed league finish last season. Currently, they are third in the league and just two points ahead of second-placed Manchester City.
If they can keep their shape, Chelsea Could be in a great spot at the end of the season.
And they are already looking at how to improve their squad until 2026. Caught offside The Blues are reportedly in contact with intermediaries to express their interest in Crystal Palace.
The right-back is also on the radar of Barcelona and Manchester City, having scored twice and assisted twice for the Eagles this season.
The report states that interested parties believe Munoz could be available for at least $US30 million ($26.5 million), although a previous report stated that The palace is worth more than 25 million dollars.
He believes Chelsea could make an offer as early as January, as they are aware of current right-back Reece James’ injury record.
But the other right-backs they have at their disposal show why the Blues don’t really need Munoz.
Alongside James – who has played 874 minutes this season and currently looks to be managing his fitness – are Malo Gusto and Josh Acheampong.
With James fit throughout the season so far, Gusto sometimes plays in midfield and Achampong at centre-back in an effort to give minutes to fellow right-backs.

But the Blues have six other players who can play in the heart of defense and five more defensive midfielders, so they won’t always be able to play elsewhere.
In fact, both James and Gusto have played in midfield at times, substituting for the other to play right-back when it suits them better.
With Chelsea playing the right shops at the right shop, adding another top to the mix would certainly take the potential minutes of each of them down.
If one of them—more than James or Gusto Acheampong—was to be injured, it might be nice to have another option, but they would still have another right-back to cover.
From Munoz’s point of view, he might look at the situation at the right-back at the club and decide against a move, knowing that the opportunities he has at Palace may not be there, where there have only been three games in which he has not played 90 minutes this season.
