Steve Clarke: Head coach calls for Scotland to ‘immediately write names in history books’

To do that, fly fishing and golfing will have to be put on hold, but it’s a small sacrifice Scotland need to secure their place in next summer’s tournament.

Even if they don’t make it by the time deadline, there is a Play-Off safety buffer, but Clarke said himself that he wants his side “Top Dogs” in the Group.

Easier said than done, but the head coach has his sights set.

“When I get my mind right, I’m focused. I’m either mad at golf or I’m focused on football,” he added.

“This week, I promise you, I will focus on football.”
