Earlier this month, the occupants of the players in the King Park Park Rangers Sold Room were as attractive as Chaneton was to get his 10th-tier goal on the line.
In his debut he assisted Ben Cannell, but a goal of his own escaped him in a 25 minute substitute in the interior, based on good corn.
But on Saturday, Cureton made history against Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers as he came off the bench to score the fourth goal in a 4-1 win.
King Park Park announced the achievement in a post on X: “The legend finished football!”
After a series of managerial stints in lower league management, Cureton signed for the club as a striker in October in the hopes of “Getting out of the pressure cooker and having fun”.
But the veteran forward still has his eye on a couple of accomplishments he wants to add to his list.
“I’m still thinking, I think, four or five goals away from 400, so I want to chase it,” said Chaneton.
“Club I AY AT, we are trying to get promotions, so that is a big goal.
“I’ve always said, as long as I’m good enough – and I won’t let anyone else – then I’ll still play.
“I just play for fun, because I can and I still enjoy it and love it.
“To top it in scoring is also a bonus.”
