British tennis star apologies for saying his opponent “bad smell” in court


Harriet Dart apologized after calling his opponent to “wear deodorant” during the match.

The British No. 4 woman with 6-0 6-3 was beaten by WildCard Lois Boisson in the first round of Rouen Open on Tuesday.

During a second change, Dart asked the Umpire, “Can you tell him to wear deodorant? He’s really bad.”

Boisson, the French player, was very distant to hear the comment when he returned to court before winning the match.

But Dart has apologized for choosing his words with a post in an Instagram story.

“Hi everyone, I want to apologize for what I said today in court, this was a moment’s point of warmth when I really regret it,” Dart said.

“It’s not like I want to carry myself, and take full responsibility. I have a lot of respect for Louis and how he competes today.

“I learn from this and move forward. Harriet.”

Dart made WTA’s first game in 2015 at Eastbourne International and is currently ranked 110th in the world.

The 28 -year -old game in 2018 when he entered Wimbledon’s main draw as a wild card, did its Grand Slam activity in 2018.

He recently reached the second round of Australia Open.

Darts also reached the Wimbledon Final in 2021 in 2021, but they lost to Neil Schpski and Desira Kravchick.

Before the Rouen was opened, he was part of the English national team that was eligible for the Billy Jean -King Cup final.

They were in Group F against Germany and the Netherlands and ended the standings by beating both opponents.

Darts played with Olivia Nichols against Germany, but despite defeat, Britain is currently won.

Sonay Kartal and Katie Boulter won the relevant single -song competitions to lead them to the final.

In September, Britain, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Spain, Ukraine and the United States joined China in September.
