Bit Rage About Schools, United States Cities; Ferdinand picked three stars out of position

Man Utd legends Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt have been unhappy with the Man City fiction of the Old Trafford hierarchy in recent years.

Scholes added: “You talk about DNA, there’s nobody who knows what a Manchester United person is. Darren Fletcher (under-18s coach) is the only one who doesn’t know anything about being a Manchester United player.

“And look, you don’t always have to be the best player, but to play for the club you just have to have the balls, don’t you?”

Butt continued: “Real Madrid won’t do it to Barcelona or vice versa.

“If you’ve got DNA that’s solid, you should go and handpick really good coaches – United did that with Kieran McCann (now Ipswich Town manager).

“You see a shining light at Tottenham and you bring him in and he teaches you things, but there’s nobody (in United’s history) other than Darren Fletcher right now.”

“But when you look at the stats, they’re punching you in the face in terms of entries into the opponent’s box, shots, expected goals.

“Things look positive from that perspective.”
