Bayern Munich are giving up Alphonso Davies transfer talks because Real Madrid are very strong

Bayern Munich have reportedly given up on convincing Real Madrid target Alphonso Davies to extend his stay at the club. The Bundesliga side have made occasional attempts to communicate with Davies’ representatives in recent months but have made no progress towards renewing his contract.

The Canadian player has suggested lowering his salary request from €20 million a year to €17 million, which is close to Bayern’s previous offer. However, there has been no significant movement since then, while Real Madrid remain ready to act. With Davies’ current contract expiring in 2025, the 23-year-old is at a critical point and Real Madrid are not inclined to pursue him in January.

According to Relev, the Spanish club are determined not to take Davies’ potential signing lightly, as they have done with previous transfers. They aim to secure him on a free transfer next summer as part of their defensive restructuring efforts.
