Surprise, surprise

Entry impossible

‘Liverpool to boost Antoine Seminyio as Bournemouth chief admits – ‘Who are we not?’ ” is a small headline from Daily Mirror website.

Liverpool ‘Boost’? That a Bournemouth executive has basically said the club won’t stand in the way of a player if a) they want to leave, b) the club wants to sign them is higher up the food chain and, crucially, c) the move makes sense for Bournemouth, especially financially.

Is it ‘progressive’? Or is it a statement of the obvious after the summer in which Bournemouth generated around £150 million by selling players Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and, well, Liverpool?
