The disciplinary action comes after the TFF suspended 1,024 players from the professional league on Tuesday as part of a betting investigation.
Following the move, matches in the third and fourth divisions of Turkish Football have been postponed for two weeks.
“I would like to clarify that the reason my name appears in this file is because, about five years ago, a bet was placed in a match involving my former team involving my former team, without whom I knew was a schoolmate.
“Since that day, I have nothing to do with betting or this issue.”
The scandal initially hit the headlines on 27 October, when Tff President Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu said that hundreds of referees were involved in betting accounts.
Haciosmanogoglllu claimed that of the 571 referees working in the Turkish professional league, 371 have betting accounts and 152 are actively placing wagers.
He said that the group includes seven referees and 15 assistant referees from the main two divisions of Turkey, as well as 36 classified referees and 94 assistants from the lower levels.
The TFF President added that 10 referees were each placed in 10,000 bets. One referee placed 18,227, while 142 referees placed bets on more than 1,000 matches. Some referees place only one bet.
Like players and coaches, match officials are prohibited from participating in betting activities by TFF regulations, as well as by FIFA and European governing bodies.
Turkish prosecutors recently issued detention orders for 21 people – including 17 football presidents – as part of a major investigation into match-fixing and match-fixing.
BBC News News Turkish also confirmed that mat ozkaya, chairman of Super Lig Side Eyupspor, has been arrested, as well as six referees and one person.
