Is it a marketing stunt or a real marginal gain?
A strange look at the red piece of footwear caught the eye in the build-up to the World Cup final.
The fluorescent red shoes ‘thought that Pulong Villa wore Ezri Konsa in a news conference on Wednesday.
Barcelona Striker Marcus Rashford also wore the Nike Hunahuna Mules at Spurs Lodge, where England are based during the week.
“They tell me that they can study better in meetings if they wear these shoes and I hope they believe it,” said England Tuchel when asked about the shoes.
“Maybe the most important thing is that they believe in it. I don’t know the science behind it.”
The foot is not yet available for purchase. Nike says that the shoes work to “Join the sensory areas of your brain through thousands of machines underfoot” and players wear them at mealtimes.

“Large nodes on the outsole push against your foot as you step, engaging sensory areas in the brain to help you stay in tune with your surroundings,” Nike said of the technology.
This isn’t the first bit of tech the team has used from commercial partners.
In the last summer euros were given OURA rings tabs to improve their recovery and sleep, while the medical staff used duice with the players.
Tuchel also said he will try out the new boots around England’s Training Base, adding that he is “always happy to try things out”.
