Portsmouth FC Fans banned for sneaking into match as ‘Steward’

Two brothers who lead as stewards to sneak into a football game are banned from attending games for three years.

Kane and Dale Green, 29 and 31 respectively, were caught less than an hour before the Southampton-Portsmouth South Sawthouth Derby kicked off in September.

Pompey supporting the Pair at the Stad Garium in Southampton for the match – the first meeting in the league between the cargo of personnel cargo.

The men, who live in Portsmouth, admitted fraud by false representation and continued to play a football game. They were ordered to pay fines and costs of more than £1,000 each.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary told the green board officials that the plan was set up “if they can’t buy tickets outside the ground.

“It’s a ridiculous scheme to try and see the game, despite knowing that tickets have been sold and those without tickets won’t get in,” said assistant Captable Tony Rowlinson.

“It was clear that they had the intention of entering the stadium illegally, carrying hi-vis vests with ‘steward’ on the back, with someone carrying a radio and earpiece.

“However, what they did not appreciate was the professionalism and vigilance of the Club’s security team and our officials, who quickly found that they were not wearing accreditation and worked together to reject them.”
