Manchester United are reportedly one of 11 clubs in the mix for German Under-17 ‘prodigy’ Kenneth Eichhorn, who could leave his country via a release clause.

Now, United are linked to someone known as ‘Prodi’ Sky Germany – Hertha Berlin midfielder Eichhorn.
‘All the top clubs in Europe’ are said to be interested in the actor. There are 11 nominees in this report, in the Bundesliga, there are: Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Elsewhere in Europe, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and United have been linked.
The market for Aichorn is said to be ‘unprecedented’ with his release clause being activated in the summer.
Eichhorn is the youngest player in Bundesliga 2 history and has played nine games this term, showing he has the confidence to perform in senior football.
That said, he’s not high on any stats compared to the league’s older players. His best asset is probably recovering the ball, which Eichhorn has done 3.6 times per game so far this term.
He has committed plenty of fouls though – 15 already this season, which has led to five yellow cards and a suspension.

It’s unlikely he’ll make a move to a bigger club, and his performances against players his own age have seen him stand out, so he’ll certainly be a huge asset in academy football.
Playing as a defensive midfielder, in four games for Germany U-17s so far, Ishorn has scored twice, both goals coming in a 4–0 victory over Luxembourg.
It seems likely that if Eichhorn continues to perform for the under-17 side – which he has captained in every game he has played – the midfielder will be offered opportunities in the senior teams.
Where he ends up in club football remains to be seen, but the German is in a good position with some big sides after him.
