Foy says a group of players who are all the same age and friends on the pitch helped them “gel” over it.

“Other than that they’re all great friends and they’re all pushing each other to get better, and it’s all starting to show.

“Now the seniors want to continue with the young people what they ask, whether it’s extra sessions or what they ask of us as players.”

Northern Ireland’s Joely Andrews feels the inclusion of home-based players Moore and Kerr in the Oxtoby squad shows “the way we are working”.

“We’ve had the likes of MIA and Aimee Kerr come in, and they don’t go for it. They challenge and push.

“They restrict the right and they restrict the standards for training.

“Mia is really talented and she’s very good on the ball. She’s an exciting forward and she’s also aggressive on the ball.

“He’s going to bring a lot to camp and he brings a lot of energy to training, so it’s great to have him.”

While Foy believes that Moore can play across the water, he said, “time is all about the development of Kim Turner, who is a former international and player for Modchester City.

“Right now, he seems happy with where he is and where he’s progressing.”

“Maybe MIA could use an extra year here, especially coming off his ACL. He’s left a mark in the league this year, and I know he’s going to be a lot better.

“He scored 12 goals for us this year and we all know he can improve next year.

“She had great coaching under Kim, who crossed the water playing and coaching. Mia didn’t have a better mentor to make those decisions.”
