The Reds went behind to Ruben Amorim minutes later, with Brian Mbemo putting the men into an unlikely lead at Anfield.

But, just six minutes later, Harry Maguire scored a header to give the visitors all three points and Their first win at Anfield since 2016.

“But you have to work hard for the team. It’s not like 10 teas and a coffee. It’s like 11 teas.
“We know he is anyway. I shouldn’t really say it, but you look at him now and he’s got his contract, and it’s a little bit comfortable? Is he really working hard enough to be on this team? You’d probably say no, and you know, you say it with a little bit of cynicism.
“I think they’ve got a midweek game, haven’t they, so he’ll probably go and score a hat-trick or something.
“But as a manager, you have to have a conversation with him and say, ‘Look, we need a little extra,’ because they probably need a little extra from most of the team at the moment, yes.”
Former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor also had his say on Salah’s performances this season, saying: “Salah’s not firing, Salah and (Alexander) Isak haven’t got a relationship at the moment.
“Whenever Salah is trying to put him in, he’s not scoring. Then (Hugo) is on the actic bench, should he have started?
“I think they have a problem there, it doesn’t seem to be working for Liverpool at the moment.”
When pressed on whether Salah should be dropped from the starting XI by slot, Agbonlahor added: “I think it is, I think you have to be honest, he’s not performing.
“He’s not offering much defensively, and yesterday, he kept trying to cut inside and force passes that weren’t going.

“Manchester United never gave up space at the back, he kept trying to get a bit of a dunk pass at the back – which would probably work with a high line.
“But he’s not looking like the player (he was) last season, there’s no problem bringing him out.
“And do you play right-handed (yermi) frimpong? Do you get an ectatic to work right-handed?
“Whatever it is, you cannot play a player who is not performing.”
Agbonlahor later continued: “I really think he should be dropped, because seven games in his career without scoring a non-penalty, it’s like Mo Salah’s record, never happened.
“He has chances to fumble, he’s grabbing chances that you don’t expect from Mo Salah.
“When he got this one in the second half, if you watch the replay, he’s still on his side.
“Goals open in the opposite direction and he just swings a foot at it, that’s not Mo Salah.”
