Ferdinand claims a Red Devils star will be ‘unplayable’ as new signing to ‘become the best in the world’



Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has backed one Red Devils star to be “irreversible”, while another player “could become the best in the world”.

“I have to talk about Mbemo’s performance… he’s getting chances but he hasn’t been clinical,” Ferdinand added.

“This guy keeps getting into good positions. Eventually you get some luck and he got it today.

“He just causes problems and makes defenders bewildered. Defenders never feel comfortable against him.”

On Lemmens, Ferdinand continued: “He took us off our feet with a great save.

“He was dependable. His hands were really safe. He’s only played two games so I don’t want to get carried away but he was reliable, sure and assertive.

“In the long run it can continue because it builds confidence in the backline.”

Former Club Brugge coach Heck Milton has also praised Lemmens, stating that he “could be the best in the world”.

“Sunny Reid is a potential No. 1 for the Devils – the Belgian national team.
