Marco Silva has named an Arsenal player who was “impossible to stop” as Fulham lost 1-0 to the Gunners in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Gunners scored another goal from a set-piece as Leandro Trossard scored the only goal of the game to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League, although Liverpool will reduce it to a point when they beat Manchester United on Sunday.
The only goal of the game came when weapon Defender Gabriel Magalhas got a glimpse of a corner on 58 minutes with Leandro Trossard slotting the ball into the back post.
And Fulham boss Silva admitted that Gabriel is “impossible to stop” and “very difficult” when it comes to corners or free-kicks.
Silva told the BBC’s Match of the Day: “When you lose a game, it’s always disappointing. They were at a very good level.
“We created chances to score before Arsenal. They were more on it than themselves. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy, a tough team to play against but I think we kept them away from big chances in the game.

“After the goal, we reacted and started playing more our way again.
“Gabriel jumps so high, it’s impossible to stop him. He’s very difficult to control.
“The way we tried to stop his run, most of the game, we did it very well. We were very open and left space for Gabriel. We didn’t want him to run in that part. It’s very difficult to control any flick at the back post.”
In the post-match press conference, Silva added: “It’s disappointing, well, it’s difficult to stop, offensive set pieces are not just one, two, three players, it’s about the takers, they’re lucky because they also have very good takers.

“It’s a tough challenge for you, it’s a tough challenge for Arsenal when they face other teams, I think it’s in both situations, not against the teams they play against.
“I think they’ve scored 60 per cent of their goals from set-pieces, at the moment it shows their strength.
“The disappointment for us is that we showed throughout the game that we were well prepared for the moment but this is the type of game where you have to stay focused for 90, 95 minutes, most of the time we did a very good job, in one moment the way we ran it with power was very difficult.”
