Non -league team to break the FA Cup record with 104 years of masterpiece on Saturday

Seaford Town sets the new record for the longest period between the competition.

The Sussex Non-League team has not been shown in the oldest football competition for more than a century, with their last appearance in the 1911-12 season.

But their 104 -year interruption finally ends Saturday, when they take the Sutton Atletic extra preliminary round.

The Seaside Club, who plays in the Southern Combine South – Ninth British Football – welcomes his opponents to his homeland, Crouch.

Their official account wrote: “Seaford Town FC today sets a new record of the FA Cup for the longest time in the competition (104 campaigns).

“The beach club has not been shown since the 1911-12 season and is performed only by volunteers.”

Seaford will have a better result than their previous FA Cup campaign, as they suffered a 3-0 win at the Vernon Atletic House more than 100 years ago.
