Football Association Ireland: Association at attending the listening committee of the abuse of abuse

Fai apologizes for women but often asked to attend a hearing before the joint committee to clarify the claims they know the allegations of disciples.

Association says that a four-week deferral is required to “make enough time to prepare, the complexity introduced to the committee seeking material in relation to a continued investigation of the Garda”.

In their statement, it has been added by “key staff” which is in annual leave of 9 July and 16 July – the dates offered for the meeting.

“The Committee asked for a wide documents, many related to a continued Garda investigation,” as FAI.

“Any disclosure should also be carefully examined for legal and GDPR sorting given to the sensitive and confidential nature of cautioning information requested.

“At the time of the intervening we will continue to engage in the committee to ensure that session size is clearly defined to ensure that no parties are unintentionally compromised with a continuous investigation.”

FAI added this “perfect respect for the essential work” of the joint committee and “perfect commitment to participate in the committee of this matter”.

“We look forward to their verification of a revised date in which this session may proceed,” it continues.

The statement also encourages anyone who is involved in the Republic of Ireland Football experienced abuse of reporting it in FAI.
