Nick Saban has an embarrassing mic problem on ESPN College

Lights, camera… sound problems.

ESPN’s flagship program, College GameDay, got off to a rocky start in its pregame coverage of the Orange Bowl between Notre Dame and Penn State, experiencing audio issues early on.

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban started talking and ruining the game, only no one could hear him.

Apparently, his microphone seemed to be off because when he started to speak, no sound came from the TV.

Saban went more than 12 seconds before host Rhys Davis stepped in and informed the seven-time national champion that his microphone was malfunctioning.

“Hey, just a second,” Davis interrupted.

“I’m told we don’t have your mic right now, you don’t want to miss these tips.

“Let’s see if we can fix it and get Nick’s mic up there.”

For a program that important to ESPN and its coverage, you’d think and hope there were no technical issues.

However, it was quickly fixed shortly after.

Saban is in his first year with the team as he retired from coaching at the end of last season.

By all accounts, Saban has been a huge positive addition to the show.

The usual prickly coach has been able to shine his personality in a different light in front of the camera.

He’s knowledgeable, engaging, and offers a certain toughness that makes Saban who he is.

It goes without saying that he is undoubtedly the greatest College football All-time coach

Of course people listen when he talks.

As long as his microphone works.
