Wolves reach €20m deal in principle for Emmanuel Agbadou from Reims | All Football

Wolves and Stade de Reims have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of centre-back Emmanuel Agbadou (27) according to a report this Friday by L’Equipe. The Premier League side’s outlay for the Reims centre-back is said to rise to €20m. Football agent Jorge Mendes, whose influence at Molineux is well documented, played a vital role in agreeing the deal through his agency.

Vitor Pereira’s Wolves were also keen on Lens Abdukdir Khusanov (20) but Agbadou got the goal in the end. The outlet understands that VfB Stuttgart Bundesliga are also keen on Agbadou, but Wolves appear to have won the race to sign him. Reims were reluctant to part ways with the Ivory Coast international – who they signed from KAS Eupen in 2022 – after agreeing a contract extension with him last September. Agbadou was under contract with Luka Elsner’s Reims until 2028.
