Elton Kabangu has joined Hearts on loan from Union Saint-Gilloise for the remainder of the season.
The Belgian forward, 26, has made 32 appearances since joining USG in 2023, scoring twice, and previously played for FC Eindhoven and Willem II, netting more than 30 times in the Netherlands .
Hearts head coach Neil Critchley told the Hearts website: “It’s great to be able to bring in a player of Elton’s pedigree so soon after the transfer window opens.
“It’s an area of the pitch that we think we need to strengthen and Elton will bring a different dimension to our forward line.
“His experience playing in the top leagues in Holland and Belgium will benefit the current team.
“He has the attributes of a Hearts player and from speaking to him I know how hungry he is to come and be successful at Tynecastle.”
Hearts play their first game of 2025 at home to Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell on Thursday (15:00 GMT).
