Ruben Amorim has lost the Manchester United star’s ‘trust’ and ‘respect’ and could struggle to win it back this season.
United suffered a fifth defeat in their last six Premier League games as Newcastle picked them apart inside the opening half hour of their 2-0 victory over the Red Devils on Monday.
Amorim opted to start Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in midfield. A surprising move deserves criticism. After 33 minutes of the evening with the introduction of Kobe Mino against Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton and Sandro Tonali.
Zarkazi was the one who was dropped in favor of Menu and was. Shameful so-called fans joke at Old Trafford.
Explaining his decision to replace Zarzki before half-time, Amorim said: “You have to think about the team and sometimes the player because the player is in pain.
“I was there a few years ago and I know he wants it because I saw him during the week. It’s more important and he’s suffering during the game.
“I felt the team was suffering and I needed another midfielder and then we started to get more ball with Kobi Minno.
“But it was really hard for me to do that and I spoke passionately about it because it’s important to get the message across.
“But I’m always thinking about the team and, in this moment, it was important to go out (for Josh) for the team.”
Gary Neville said he “felt sorry” for Zarkezi.who has scored four goals in 26 appearances for the Reds following a £35.6m move from Atalanta last summer.
“I feel really sorry for him,” said the former England defender.
“I know he’s making a lot of money here, but there’s a man who’s basically cheered on by his own fans and it’s cruel.
“I haven’t seen that many times at Old Trafford in the 43 years I’ve been here, if at all.”

Former West Ham captain Nigel Roe Coker believes Amorim will have to go some way to rebuild his relationship with Zarkezi, who will “never trust him again”.
“It’s a tough experience for a player and a tough pill to swallow for Ruben Amorim,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“As a player, when you go through a moment like this, you need to think about the human element.
“He’ll see Ruben Amorim and never trust him again. He’ll be able to look at him and say ‘good morning boss,’ but he won’t have deep respect for him.”
“This is Amorim’s admission that he misjudged the team.
“He’s going to have to try to mend the relationship because he’s probably going to have to go back to it at some point and get him back and wanting to play and compete.”
