£60m signing Ten Hague ‘agreed to leave’ as ‘no obstacles’ to Ronaldo reunion

Casemiro has agreed to leave Manchester United and could move to Saudi Arabia during the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Red Devils paid around £60million to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid in August 2022 and the Brazilian midfielder has had an impressive first season at Old Trafford.

He played an important role. Man Utd Finished third in the Premier League, winning the Carabao Cup and reaching the FA Cup final.

As the wheels fell off under Erik ten Hague’s management, Casemiro was constantly exposed in the middle of the park as he turned 20 between the end of 2022/23 and the start of 2023/24.

While ten Hague’s tactics didn’t help the 32-year-old, it soon became clear that he was past his prime.

The summer signing of Manuel Ugarte and the emergence of Kobe Mino last term ensured that Casemiro went 24/25 as a bench player, but he started 10 of his team’s 19 Premier League matches. has started

The pair were surprisingly overtaken in the middle of the park by Bruno Gomaris, Joelinton and Sandro Tonali.

Despite being used quite frequently this season, Casemiro could be sold in January.

He is under contract until 2026 and as one of the club’s top earners, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly very keen to sell. And wanted to offload him in the summer transfer window.

Ratcliffe could get his wish in the winter window with clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Man Utd midfielder Casemiro is now open to a Cristiano Ronaldo reunion.

According to reports in Brazil, Casemiro has ‘agreed to leave Man Utd’ and ‘Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund is committed to going ahead’ with a January signing.

There has been reluctance to move to the Middle East but the experienced midfielder now ‘looks favorable to a move in early 2025’ and ‘there will be no major barriers to an exit after that’.

While there are ‘no major constraints’, it is said that Saudi Arabia’s richest clubs have plenty of foreign players in their squads and may need to sell before they can buy.

Casemiro is ‘well known’ in the Saudi Pro League, though, ‘especially at Al Nasr, also because of his relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo’.

Ronaldo played alongside the Brazilian at Real Madrid and in his second spell at Man Utd.
